Highfield Barn

The dutch barn at Highfield Farm was a Class Q conversion. We carried out the Class Q survey and report and were then appointed the structural engineers for the conversion. We recommended some repair works including reinstating missing structural frame members, replacing sheeting and treatment of steelwork. We recommended the building was suitable for conversion subject to the provision of an insulated thermal envelope (we used timber frame with stone cladding) and lightweight roof finishes, similar to the existing.
